Someone told me that you get from your kids what you gave your parents. So I'll try real hard not to laugh the first time she comes to me irritated with my grandkids!

I have a saying that is similar. Mine is I have to love you, but I don't have to like you. They always seemed to understand that one. lol

But I know that there has been more than a few times, when the kids didn't like me either. I don't that I cared much at the time about whether or not they liked me.

OK all, news flash:
We will be at the Fairgrounds at or before 8 AM...Saturday.
We have a black Chrysler Mini Van and will have the chicks, pullets, eggs & raspberries for whomever asked for them.
OK ?
We will not be there friday as planned.
Too many chicks pipping, incubators going & the like.
So we got to get up early...
Oh, and the white chicken is going to the show

CR, I will look for your some more cast iron next dump run.
But we do have a dutch oven w/lid for you.

My nesting boxes are up about 2 feet off of the floor of my coop. I think that if I was to build a different coop, that I would have the nests on the floor. I have had broodies hatch out chicks, and then had the chick fall out of the nest. Thank G that I found the chick in time. I had to bring inside and brood it myself, because of the placement of the nesting boxes. I would have rather left it with the hen.

I LOVE my Wagoner, Sidney Australia, smooth as a baby's butt and heats so well, love them!
I have Lodge too, and they seem coarser, more pourous and so stuff seems to stick more. Maybe just needs more use...

I just fry up some bacon in my pan if it needs a little more seasoning. I love BLT's, but most of the time I make BLAST sandwiches. That is a bacon, lettuce, avocado, spinach, and tomato sandwich. It is easier to eat if I mix the avocado with a little bit of mayo. Otherwise we end up chasing the pieces of avocado round the sandwich and or plate.

So very glad that he is gone for a long time. Now hopefully he will stay gone!

It is all down here at the landfill in Raymond, the guys pick them out and hang them on the wall of the giant shop...and I am going in a few minutes...

I would love to get a cast iron stew pot. I bought a dutch oven a couple of years ago, but I don't really like the feet on it. I can make it work on my gas range, but I can still remember the stew pot that my mom found at a neighbors house. It was out in their back yard and it was super rusty. Mom cleaned it up, and as far as I know she is still using it. So robin if you find one, I will come and get it.

We have a chick!!!!! Totally missed the whole thing but hope to be able to catch one of the others hatching. How cool is this!!!
