That is the scenic route but also the very long way. For anybody west of the Cascades take I-5 south to I-205. Then from I-205 you can take SR 14 (the WA side of the big creek) head east, or go a little more south to Oregon and take I-84 head east and take exit 44 (Cascade Locks) cross The Bridge of the Gods. On the other side of the bridge you wil come to SR-14 go right (east) turn onto Rock creek drive and this will take you to the faif grounds (on the right).
I am at exit 68 on I-5 and from me the show is about 115 miles.

Yes...I usually go through Yakima and Goldendale and then the Gorge on the way to Portland. I think the quickest way to Stevenson (for me) is through Brewster to Ephrata to Yakima to Goldendale to Stevenson.

He was such a little punk! He probably will be much more happy with some "women" of his own...he may have had some "frustration" he needed to take out!

Stevenson is 135 miles from Yakima. Stevenson is in the Cascade Mountain Range, but on the Columbia River. So from Yakima you go down through Goldendale on Hwy 97 until you meet Hwy 14. You can't miss Hwy 14 without getting very wet or crossing a bridge. Just turn right and head west. Don't cross any bridge. The scenic route is Goldendale and take Hwy 142 and you will go through the town of Klickitat. That Hwy pops out in White Salmon, and once again head West. That is the same distance as Hwy 97. If you do end up in Oregon then take I-84 west to Cascade Locks, and then go over the Bridges of the Gods bridge. That is 153 miles. But it maybe slightly faster, because that is a real freeway.

Yes it's 331 miles from our front door to Stevenson. We're 3 hours from Yakima.

Oh, but why NOT show? Always good to get new eyes on your birds.... like with the side sprig thing, it helps you catch things you wouldn't otherwise notice. Every judge is different.

I might bring a few bantams but no more big birds for now. I have my quarantine coops maxed out and my other birds are too raggedy/muddy and too far into the breeding season to show.

hooo. boy, we're not as far out as some of the group, but 250 miles from the Stevenson show is a bit of a weekend hike. Well we'll need to see if we can get those days off of work.

Sorry I missunderstood. I thought JB was giving directions from the west side. Do you cross at Biggs junction / Maryhill and hit I-84? That is a far better road than
SR-14.

Well just finished dinner for DW so now it's back to the cuttin shed

I am trying some really new things and hope they go over well. Shhhhh don't tell T HI but I even made a pretty cute duckie thing today. But I know it will be safe since it's not a bowling pin on feet.

Yes, usually--when we go to Portland and the Gorge is not too nasty....otherwise, we go I-90 and over Snoqualmie. It's about 45 minutes faster that way.
