I grew up in that area. The Dalles but haven't been back in a long time.

It's grown a lot! Every time I go through there it's grown! I went to college in Billings and that was my route home and they'd be doing construction almost always

It was me. We got a rescue dog (that had been beaten and starved) about 2 yrs ago that has major anxiety attacks when we leave home w/o him. He digs to get relief. So far I have lost 5 clematis, 3 boxwood, 2 barberry, and 2 spirea. He doesn't just dig them up, he chews the root ball off so that they are dead dead by the time we find them. So I so know what you are going through! We put him in the kennel now with a big bone to help him when we are gone.
I hoping to root some this year so if it's toast I'm hoping to have more later!

Oh, the "puppies" (they are right around 1 yr old) were playing and found a fun stick...they weren't stressed...they were being naughty. They have an entire yard filled with branches that have fallen out of the willow tree...could they play with those...NO...they had to go for the potted stick up against the house. Well, I may buy a butterfly bush...I just love them.

Have you tried putting peanut butter inside an old JIF jar and letting them have a go at it while you are gone?
My dogs use to send hours getting every last bit out of the jars that are just a tad too small for them.

Hi there: They have Kongs, which I put peanut butter in and play with at night while in their kennels....but I can't during the day because these 2 are puppies (right around 1 year old) and my other 3 are all geriatric and don't need the added calories. Right now I am trying to get weight off of my 13 year old pom. She has lost 1 lb in 2 months. Good start for her, especially since she is part hoover vacuum cleaner.

RFF, ya, it was kind of sad to see some of those poor chicks.

CR, go for it! good to see you having a booth!

OK, I guess Chicky still doesn't have her puter going. Bummer, I went there yesterday to pick up my Dellies she hatched for me and they were in such a rush to get their computer to the shop. Tried to hurry so they could make their appointment and I completely forgot to pay her. Was also going to ask about some Olive egger eggs to buy and forgot that too. Didn't get to see much of her place. Hope she gets her computer fixed soon. Was worth my while though. Delivered some chicks to a gal who was excited to get some of my BLRW and Barnies and plans to show at the fair. Was so nice of Chicky to hatch the Dellies but ended up costing me about $40 in gas and my time when the eggs could have just been shipped to my house for incubating. Duh. Such an airhead sometimes.

That is the scenic route but also the very long way. For anybody west of the Cascades take I-5 south to I-205. Then from I-205 you can take SR 14 (the WA side of the big creek) head east, or go a little more south to Oregon and take I-84 head east and take exit 44 (Cascade Locks) cross The Bridge of the Gods. On the other side of the bridge you wil come to SR-14 go right (east) turn onto Rock creek drive and this will take you to the faif grounds (on the right).
I am at exit 68 on I-5 and from me the show is about 115 miles.

Yes...I usually go through Yakima and Goldendale and then the Gorge on the way to Portland. I think the quickest way to Stevenson (for me) is through Brewster to Ephrata to Yakima to Goldendale to Stevenson.

Bad news Heather, there is no way for me to go. I have to work and there are others already doing time off. I cannot rearrange. So I will not make it to Stevenson. I am sorry....You and I could have caused so much trouble. I hope that you get to go. And I want lots of photos from everyone....tell me everything. I am still learning, remember.

Oh, I love preschooler language.
