Sheesh that's a lot of Daffodils. Make sure the hens don't try and eat them. . . I believe they're dangerous for poultry (?) We've got a large river of daffodils in our Bachelor Pad, but the most that the boys do is plow a path right through them when pacing up and down the fence for food.

i finally got around to unloading some new picks of my chicks and a few of my flock i took last week.

please look and let me know. BTW I am going to enclose Lionel in with my brahmas (light and a buff) along with aconas, blue andulsians and speckled sussex. will also enclose the brahma x rir rooster in with the brahmas to try and improve brahma type but with red coloring.

my angle is production designer mutts. but the one breed i know i want to keep going on is the brahmas they are puppy dogs. they are the only breed i can give hugs to.

I figured out a good liner that will work.

What do you use?

I cut out a used commercial sized oil container & it works for me.
My other option was a colander form a Korean store.
Fits in there and I can take it out to wash.
Kind of like what CL does, but the container is bigger.
I was going to get an LG from the local farm store, but am worried about the temp control.
Temp fluctuations kill eggs.

I'm so sorry. That is so difficult when we face losing our parents. I hope neither of them have to suffer much and live full lives to the end with lots of love.

My dad died of lung cancer, at least thats where it started. He was a smoker. He ended up dieing from it going to his brain. He was only 65. Now my son smokes and it kills me. I did everything I possibly could to steer them away from smoking. They used to talk about how stinky and icky it was when they were growing up. All it took was public school and the wrong crowd to undo it all. I get so angry at things sometimes. Everything seems futile. You are right in that we have our chickens though. I have brought lots of other things into my life to fall back on. Chickens are only one of them.

Hang in there girl. Cancer is difficult on both sides. Cherish every moment there is.

I hope when it's my time to go I'm riding a horse and have a heart attack.

Thats an awesome photo! Spring has Sprung. Hallelujah!

Dad's cancer is a fluke. Eighty somethings who never smoked don't normally get this particular lung cancer.
