It wasn't even interesting, but I was having trouble with things posting the way I thought it should have been.

Your silly and picky too!

Actually I'm just chicken fobic and am terrified of anything that resembles a dark shiny rooster with those sharp beaks and big red blobs...and am super afraid of wet chickens...any colour, shiny or not.
But I am being desensitised by you BYC enablers. That being said, I wouldn't touch one with a pole just yet.

They can be behind a secure cage & I can walk near them now...blood pressure slightly raised, but no heart failure yet.
But you'll see me leave the room in a hurry if they chickens are not confined.

Spiders, lizards, creepy crawlies don't bother me a bit. well except for the super fanged crabby crotch bug. That is a whole other topic.

When we were loading the car in Monroe after the show I was walking back to the barn when low and behold...... out comes Blueducklings running yelling at me that there are chickens on the loose!!! I just about died laughing! So in other words... Blueducklings will need someone else to coop in and coop out for her if she shows!!

The plot in the middle would make a perfect sand box.

Yeah....it's actually supposed to be a potting area and an area where I had pots of herbs at one time. If I had a way to keep the cats from using it was a GIANT litter box it would be a great future sand box.

I have an empty "paddock" sized run, about 50 X 50 feet, we are building a new coop in there, as yet there is no coop, but you could build some sort of temporary "wicki-up" like a plywood/tarp tent with pallet floors ?
I have straw & lots of feed...I am in Pacific County.
PM me.
How long do you need the temp space ?
As soon as the coop is done, there is a bunch of Javas waiting....so this space would be available for maybe 2 to 3 weeks gien that construction has stopped due to DH gone.
On another noye, if you want to erect a pen and wicki-up temporary coop here, we've room.
As long as it is temporay it's OK with me, whats' a few more to feed & water

PM me.

she is such a funny girl!! congrats on your teeny tiny eggie!
here she is laying her egg on top of the china hutch... remember I told you she would pace outside the slider until I let her in to hop up there and lay her egg...

I remembered you telling me that and I KNEW she was not going to give up until we got out of the way lol. so yeah...no not spoiled!

the redneck chicken plucker is a drill with a pvc cap on the bit. lots of rubber bungie straps cut into strips and pulled thru the pvc cap. clamp it to a table and turn it on. run the chicken back and forth over it and it plucks the chicken
