IMO even ebay is more reliable and CHEAPER than MPC. If you can, support your WA or PNW breeders.

less they travel, typically better results.

Exactly why I thought she should contact pips&peeps who happens to have one for sale for WAY less money!

... you guys told me all this a day too late. its already ordered. i plan on ordering eggs from people on here from this state but there are a *few* breeds i would like that i do not hear about on here.
i had looked online everywhere for a used one and could only find older new models that cost more... so i tried. and i wasn't sure how reliable ebay was for getting good eggs.

you guys are really quiet tonight i finally caught up and suddenly nothing....

today i went and picked up a 15 slot galvanized nesting box. $200 for a 1.5 hour drive i consider it a bargain. that and i had an excuse to go to the coure d 'lane casino. walked in with just $20 and walked out with $100 in 2 hours. i consider today a good day. blackjack is my friend, the slots are not. idaho has some interesting gambling laws and technology is the only loophole. they cannot actually use chips or cards or dice. so we play blackjack on touchscreens on the dealers table and we do the hand motions... but everything is digital. its weird. i miss having chips in my hand but it makes learning the game a whole lot easier.

oddly enough there are slot machines of everything: cats, wolves, bison, sphinx, fish..... but no chicken ones... they even had a milk cookies and cow slot (which was cute but no payout after $.50 wasted, i play penny slots if i do slots)

If I could only convince the guy in North Bend with Brabanters to answer my emails, I would take you up on your advice.

We met with the oncologist this afternoon. Mother is in stage two pancreatic cancer; advanced localized. She's not a candidate for treatment even if she wanted it, which she doesn't. I'm not sure she realized that pain management was the only alternative to chemo, radiation, and surgery.

I am so sorry. Have they talked about palliative care to provide a better quality of life for the time left, and possibly extend her life? I am so glad palliative care, and hospice, have some a long way in the past decade.

Yes, they will do everything in their power to make her comfortable. She's not in pain from the cancer yet.

I have two live chicks and two dead chicks. the one that started peeping at me a couple of days ago, never pipped. When I realized it had stopped peeping, i opened the shell but it was too late. Another chick died a few hours after hatching. I hope the eggs in Rainwolf's incubator do better.

Ok CL- I will call you in the morning.

The DD's and I are heading out of town for a few days and I will not have internet access. My cell phone will be by my side 24/7, so, for those of you who have my number please keep me posted.

I hope and pray that each and everyone of you have a good couple of days. Remember that you can never say "I love you" enough, and you can never hear that "you are loved" enough.

Life is a precious gift that we all have been so lucky to have received. Do not ever take it for granted.

My life has been made much brighter, because all of you have shared your priceless light with me.

We are a special group of friends.

It was good to see some new folks at the meeting.

ReiMirra you can get most parts to run a NFT from the hardware store and its usually cheaper unless you are making a huge setup. I build my aeroflow for about 100 dollars, but it is set up for a ebb and flow system. You could do the same thing for NFT and just run the pump constantly. I was looking for cheaper on electricity.

This is a 40 hole setup but I could easily add two more runs and make it the 60 hole. I think the aeroflow is about 6 or 8 hundred dollars. I couldnt spend that much on that so I made my own.

Someone asked what to do with quail...
