CL - I'm so relieved to hear your MIL is improving - like your father, I was afraid to read on after that last post of yours I commented on.

Cashing in all my good Karma brownie points for her to only improve overnight; and in case prayers from an agnostic can help, I'll do that too.

I'm not seasoned, but here is what I did...so I get to be "in the action".
I cut a big hole on the side of my hatch box and stuck a new rubber glove (sleeve only, fingers part got snipped off)& a PBJ jar in it...cap side facing out. The PBJ jar had its bottom cut off. Get the idea??
Then I put a candling light into the box & I wait.
So when I get no pips or what ever, I can open teh pbj lid, stick my hand in, candle and see if things are moving, or take egg shells out.

Satisfys by ADD. Got to know, got to see...and touch, and candle and all that fun stuff.
Then if the humidity drops, I have my spray gun out & ZAP.
All that fun last week & I lost only one. It was agiant egg. Double yolker maybe.
I know, this is bad advise...but sooooFUN.

ARRGH

Can't believe my silly ducks went broody over golf balls.

They fought over the 2 golf balls and now they are each sitting on a golf ball & pooping yucky muck.
Won't have eggs to play with for a while.
NEED MORE EGGS!!

Got to go out and see CR and Mrs. CR tonight.
Got to meet his little girls and his big girls. Ol black crow in the box is sure a sight!!! Growling at anything that moves!
Showed me some of his prized pink eggs and lots of other pretty shades of brown and olive.
Love that dog of his, could take him home with me any day!!!
And then he showed me all the fun stuff he has worked up for the show so far. You can tell his head is spinning with ideas! Watch out duck lovers, he has something that is so cute, I almost switched from chickens!!!! Can you say multi-dimensional duck? So cool!!!

Got to pick out a bell by sound. A lot of fun!
Got to meet his sweet neighbor too.
Really enjoyed our visit.

CL- sorry about you MIL. I pray that things will smooth out for her and that they won't mess her up anymore. I saw the pic of the LBC's but I'm gonna look again in the am when I'm not so tired. I'm clueless, could they be shown? Is their color 'accepted' or whatever you call it? I'm thinking of 4-H for the kids. Probably really need to get educated more about all this stuff!

Blue Duckling- So cute, your golfball ducks! I'm tempted to put gloves in the side of my hatcher box too. Sounds like a cool idea. (think CL talked about that a while back, also) Mighty tempting!

Zgoatlady- Sure hope you can extract some answers out of somebody for you DIL's sake! Broody is the way to go. When all else fails, growl loudly!!!

Know I probably missed some stuff but that was 8 pages in the 4 hrs that we were gone to CR's. I guess 2 pages an hr in the evening isn't too bad for homework.

Going to take my fried brain to bed and hope that my wonderful DH doesn't snore tonight!

well finished the entomology exam. after 2 try's i averaged with a 71%... which is annoying because i am 10% behind the class average... even more annoying is i used the same studying methods and the first exam got me a 92% and had put me 10% above the class average....

i dont know why but i am not sick like i was last semester. i was failing then at midterms but was able to pull a 3.05GPA in the end..... but i feel like i am struggling more now yet my health is good. (knock on wood)

sigh. i am tired....
