CCG: Looks like all my W&BW chicks are Wheaten!

Any word how Cheryl's hatch went ?

Illia why don't you gas up the truck & drive to NorCal & scoop all FiL's Emus ?
They love grass...and are all dark meat

My friends in Australia tell me the Emus meat is more like beef than bird.
Would make an awful lot of dog food....

We had a Anatolian Shepherd x Maremma Sheepdog, she would bark but not at the moon and not all night. Most of the time I think she barked because she wanted to play and our 2 Border Collies were in the house., but her tone would change if something was up.

Oh JJ would just make me loose it.
Funny how some people get off watching/listening to other stupid people's idiot poop!
Why can't he get off the tube & help out?
Geeeze, years go by all all they do is sit & listen to ridiculous garbage.
I watch America's Funniest Videos sometimes...not often, seems there is way too many reruns.
I cannot sit long anyway, gotta move, and have a hard time forcing myself to lie down & relax, even when I am sick.

Well, He will help more when the weather is 'acceptable'. I think he has that depression where you need sun but doesn't do anything about it. And he needs to have his shoulder replaced and the Oxy doesn't touch the pain anymore so after working all day he pretty much doesn't want to move. He is able to do stuff but the weather doesn't sit well with him. Everytime I walk in the house and he is still in the same spot I want to scream. I should be more tolerant and empathetic but I've dealt with his health issues for 12 years now and it wears me out. Besides, everytime I try to be helpful he gets mad but him living with all his health issues is hard for him too. I'm not the one in pain and getting stuck with needles all the time. Oh well, you know what they say, in SICKNESS and in health.

cute article on King 5 this morning. Seattle Childrens Hospital has a lifesized Whaldo so kids can play the wheres waldo game looking out their hospital window. the construction company came up with the idea and they hide him in a new place everyday.

look up the article (already lost the link)

i think that is really cute.

Yes my LGD (pyrenees female) barks a lot more than I like! She doesn't bark at the moon, just at anything she thinks is (or even might be) out in the woods or on the road. She has ended up spending a lot of nights in the house because of it, but have been lucky and no critter problems. Doesn't do the bored dog constant bark thing. Absolutely a wonderful dog despite the bark! Well behaved, friendly to visitors, and not too needy!

There are Anatolian pups for $250 each in Moses Lake if you're coming to Stevenson, I'll pick you up one if you are interested?

I think they are all males and all have been started on livestock. I think they said 4 or 6 months old...

Thanks RFF, I discussed with DH last night and didn't get a huge NO. His biggest thing is dogs in the house (he always loses), I told him LGD live with the animals. You are not suppose to even make them too much of a pet so they are content to guard and not want to be with you all the time. With this litter due in April the pups won't be ready until end of June. That will give me time to get DH more used to the idea and finish some fencing along our road. Thanks for the offer but just not ready yet.

Question though for all you with LGD, Do they tend to bark all night at the moon? or only when there is a 'real' threat? Dh won't like too much barking if it's for nothing and we do have a neightbor within hearing distance that might not appreciate it if it's incessant.
