This is a still air incubator. It's a hova bator 1602. Is it still the same levels or a bit higher?

Higher. 102*F
It is in the "Guide to Raising Ducks" KCLS has the book. you might want to reserve a copy.
Are you able to adjust the temp daily after lockdown?

What? Why I've never heard of such a thing! Why my DH does exactly what I ask him to, except when I print out plans for a coop and he decides to completely ignore them, or I ask for the door to swing in and he makes it swing out, or when I asked that the new bathroom cabinet be centered underneath the light fixture and he has to put it 4" off center, or blah blah blah.

So after 20 years of marriage I pick my battles, figure what's really important to me and try to close my eyes to the rest. I appreciate that he wants to be the hero by doing things around the house so I just let him know how much I appreciate how hard he's working and then keep my mouth shut.

But it can be REALLY hard sometimes can't it? Super frustrating that we speak completely different languages sometimes!
Gotta love 'em. I can't remember why every once in a while, I just know ya gotta love 'em.

lol I understand completely! Ive been with my DH for 6 years married for almost 4. He does mean well, so I keep my mouth shut 90% of the time. lol But it will always baffle me as to why he even bothers to ask, and then when Im not even done speaking he does the oposite! lol

Little goober that he is, I love him dearly. Couldn't emagine my life without him. Even though he is a major pain in the rear. lol

Are you planning to come up to Monroe this month? Can't wait to meet my Am's!!!! Let me know and no hurry. Whatever works for you is fine.

I'm flying home TOMORROW!!! I am so excited to see the kids, DH and all the animals. But still very sad to leave mom and other family behind. My mom's family is huge and very close knit and I do miss them terribly living so far away. This is the longest I've been back east since we moved to WA in 92, so it's been a lot of fun being able to catch up with everyone while I've been here. But I'm still nervous leaving mom. She's going to stay here with my uncle and aunt until she can go home, but they work all day. She can get around the house ok, but still has me fetch her about 100 items a day! It will still probably be 3 weeks or so until she can go home if not longer. Her stairs or so steep and scary, they scare me just going up and down them on two good legs, I can't even imagine doing it on crutches. Her next Dr appt is in 3 wks and he did say best case scenario he would let her put weight on it after that appt, so hoping and praying that he gives her the ok then. Anyway, off to bed. Long day tomorrow as I am taking a late flight and won't be home in bed until after midnight, which will feel like 3:00 am or later!!!!

WA4Hmom... I think we are done, I have 11 hatched out of 23 and a bator shutoff. 5 of those were blood rings that I tossed the rest were clear. so I am pretty happy about that. I think 2 black and the rest blues

how do you adjust the dang brooder light? have a 100 watt bulb in a heat lamp, its a white one, how far off the brooder floor do you have it hanging to maintain temp? my thermometer seems to be wonky... if I lay it flat it says way over 100, if I prop it up it says like 85...which is it???
