Your baby is tussling with his sister at the moment. He somehow managed to get himself outside, and he still can't manage to get through the dog door. i finally heard him crying, and he was very happy to get back inside with us. All the puppies are very happy that their dad came home.

See.... He should have came home with me! I would NEVER leave him outside! He's so neglected!!

Welcome to the Washington thread. I can't say that I ever saw any sun yesterday. I did clean the coop in the rain.

Can ducks and chickens live together? I keep pondering the idea of ducks, they're so darn cute! But I just wonder how they would do with my chickens? Also if chickens are carriers of bugs that can kill the ducks. Like I know you can't keep chickens and turkeys together because of the blackhead illness.

I don't know if chickens and ducks can be kept together. But T-Hi and Broody should be able to answer that for you.

I'm right next door to you in University Place. There are a good variety of breeds that do well here, and you're in the right place to find them! Many of our Washinton BYCers are excellent breeders of many of the chickens you might be looking for.

We are just finishing our coop so right now I only have two Ameraucanas that are living in my kitchen. We will be adding to the flock very soon since the coop is just getting detailed. Love my Ameraucanas though. They get very interested when I'm making my breakfast since they've come to expect a delicious treat which they are more than happy to eat from my hand now.
Studying breeds, designing the coop, getting to know fellow Washingtonians has all been a wonderful and rewarding process. You'll get lots of information here.
