chicken show? I might be able to do that. How do you find out where all these shows are? I cannot make it to stevenson as I have clients coming in that want me to show them property. I guess I should be thankful, though. .

I've got one hammering on my house at all hours. We go scare him away, and as soon as we step back in the house he starts up again! Sometimes he goes to the metal pipe that comes out of the Chimney and the noise echoes through the whole house. The septic tanks are on the ground nearby, and the first time he did this, DH was down there lifting lids trying to find out what was wrong with the septic system for it to make such a racket!
this one has drummed on DH's metal roof of his shop, the barrell and a chest freezer sitting out by the side of the driveway....so far not my wee barn cabin

I once read about an adoption program for seniors that guarantees to take back or place the pet if anything happens to the owner; to increase adoptions & decrease lonely/depressed seniors who are afraid to get a pet for fear of it being put down if/when they pass on. I'll let you know if I can find the information.
good luck!
Thanks!
And a few NorCals showing up Saturday to round up Emus, some coming for eggs and the chickens are free too...he says RIR but I think frankenchickens.
Thanks for the kind words & thoughts everyone!!

Sounds like you need an incubator of some sort for when Robin is out of commission! Poor thing,. I feel your pain.
Keep your eye on craiglist and ebay for local and old humidaires, GQF sportsmans, etc..
I do have other incubators Diane !!!
Why didn't you tell me ?
The gQf is fine, still works and just needs a new fan installed cuz this one wobbles, but has not broke and the other incubator(s) work just fine!!
Sheeshhhhh sh sh sh I had no idea.........
All this does not sound right. My DH works for our school district and has been out on medical leave several times. His medical premiums do need to be paid somehow but paying it yourself is cheaper then paying the medical bills out of pocket. I even think COBRA is for when you lose your job but since you are still employed on leave you should be given the option of paying your premiums straight to the district yourself. If your premiums are too high with the whole family on there you can take everyone off and just pay for yourself until you get back to work. With DH, the District either dipped into the sick leave pool to pay them or went ahead and paid the premiums and when he went back to work they deducted a portion from his check each month to pay themselves back. Sounds like you have some idiots in the ESC building! It's all the same WA State Government! But maybe that explains it. Remember, squeaky wheel gets the grease. Definately call your union.
