I know that vinegar works for gasoline smells, so why not try it for chicken poop.

Thanks for the Shout Out! I do have Orps, but not Buff. Right now I can only provide eggs or hatch chicks from my Lavender/Split Black pen and I do have a bit of a wait list for them. My Blue Hen is broody and sitting on eggs so she's not laying at the moment. But when she's done, she's in with a gorgeous black Roo so they will have Blue & Black chicks if you are interested in them I can add you to my list.

That would be cool! I just love my Buffs, does it matter what color? I mean disposition follows breed right? I just love how calm and quiet my buffs are. Are the blue and blacks rare? Put me on the list!

So, I once again prove that going outside without checking weather radar is a Very Bad Idea.

I was fixing wind protection for the feeder end of the chicken tractor and my work coat and the back of my jeans were soaked and icy before I was finished. I'm pretty much over this La Nina, thanks ever so much.

(the new calf is a bull, with more white on him than his sisters; he's also got a giant shield on his head, out of a half-Angus cow from a Shorthorn cow line with no head markings at all. He looks a lot like a longhorn calf: may we now have a moment of silence and supplication that that's NOT the unknown part of the Not Angus bull!

I don't think I'm going either, as much as I want too. Too much to do outside after being gone for 3 weeks.
