Thanks...needed a change & did not have time....
We are building the new coop, got the foundation all done & walls go up today.
I am also tired of the vegie starts dying from lack of sun & warmth despite the 4 foot grow lights..so I am wrangling togather a big hot frame, double pane window for a lid.
It will be 3 feet X 3 feet, with 2 foot sides, and made of OSB, and lined with styrofoam, and wind heat tape all through it, cover with sand.
It should not take but a few hours to build.
The green house is too big to try & heat.
And I gotta have my cucumbers, I am OUT of bread n' butter pickles and HAVE to have the cucumbers.
I use the english (hot house) type for my bread n' butter pickles, and they are to die for, a fantastic recipe, if I can only find the recipe before the cucumbers are ready..

Else I will have to wing it from memory....

It was 35 here this morning..and now the fog is burning off & sun coming through nice enough.
Still too cold out for me to work, but DH is outside on the job !

I have not heard anything back from 3 contractors on bids for the foundation...I suppose they will mail it to me

Wish they would step up to 2011 standards & just send an e-mail.

OK, right back out to work I go....post office & hardware store maybe be first & it will be warmed up by the time I get home.

DH brought back my ugly gas cylinder bell from CA on his last trip...I maybe will bring it up (and your dutch oven ) and have you do a cut out & paint it all purty-like.

Oh, and I tried to lift 4 tiny cast iron skillets & a big skillet from the dump, and the guy saw me ( a new guy) and turns out he is the owner & the cast iron is his "collection" and he took the booty all back from me.
The other guys said I could have them...
So the flat double griddle is here too (JB's ) and needs to be ground down & seasoned.
These are rusty, so require work.
JB let me know if you want CR to grind the rust off & I will plan on dropping it off with him to rework.
Other wise you can do it yourself?

I was on ebay (just looking - not buying) and looking at "chicken items" - farm related....and I saw lots of those rubber finger thingys on there for sale...I couldn't tell you how much they were, didn't think to notice.
