wow, where was the night crew ?
Everyone went to beddy-bye early ?
Too much fun and Easter feasting ?
Well, I see we have yet another wonderful warm & sunny spring day...awesome weather I must say.
I guess I will drive to the garden center & get a bag of sterile compost to plant the sweet meats and melons....I seriously doubt if we will have another we know as "summer" here this year.
The shed place, who made the big barn shed we call home, has all sorts of sizes, and the 8x8 'cottage' which has a gable roof, is $1300. delivered, no nothing inside.
We have a few windows, and wire & insulation and can whip it into a little cabin in a few days.
So do not want to spend any more than that on a trailer.
I like the cottage better instead of a collection of boats, old cars & now a trailer parked at the foot of our driveway.
So that well maybe the way we go.
Incidently, the guy rents to own, and as far as I know, does not charge interest, so it comes to $65 a month.
Can't beat that with a stick.
Later, we may 'do' Cabelas, but I think I will just order on line, their drill mounted plucker, to use until DH gets the barrel-style plucker done.
We put the Hav-A-hart trap in the back 'yard' last night with a big handful of chicken bones inside as bait.
This morning, the trap was closed, but no prisoner inside, and the bones all gone but for a few sharp splinters that had fallen through the trap's wire bottom !
So, whatever it was, sat in their and crunched away, spilling the few shards of bone, then left and set the trap's trigger off on exit.
DH said must have been mice stole the bones.
I said no way can mice chew up bones & leave shards like that.
Whatever it was had big strong teeth, I am saying possum.
The trap's trigger just was stuck enough to not go off until the beast was almost gone, maybe it's tail touched on exit and snapped the trap shut, empty.
So we set it again tonight.
Probably a nasty possum living under this barn.
I keep hearing noises in back, and that is where the chick pen is...so that is why I am concerned.
OK, I guess I am off to enjoy the sun !!!!
NOT!!!!!!!!!
