That is true.....and thanks!

The only thing I can add to what everyone else has said is: don't accept any bids from her again. She looks like trouble coming down the line, and there are plenty of good people who want your eggs.

We had a meat customer threaten to sue us once because there wasn't enough steak in a split quarter; they got an anatomy lecture and a polite invitation never to call again. And do not get me started on what some people think is OK to do when they're picking out sweet corn at the Farmer's market (ruin it for everyone else!). Any kind of farming is too much work and risk to add the agravation of doing business with mean people to the mix.

On a happier note...I got your eggs today and am soooo excited! So

on her and her little tantrum! Maybe she just had a rank day?

For you, that day was the culmination of months of stress!
Even as excited as I am about the eggs, I know that people and what they are going through are more important than anything that can be bought!!! Don't do her the dignity of letting it get under your skin!!!

Thanks! Did they arrive okay?

For some reason--her email made me cry. I think it was just an accumulation of everything...but my chickens/ducks/geese are not only my hobby but an outlet for my stress. I have a high-stress job, too....so they keep me (somewhat) sane....

Yes, they look fine. No cracks or breaks. One air cell looks detached but I have a peeping chick in the hatcher right now that was detached so I'm not at all worried about it! Try to have a great night!

) I think you need to perfect your methods. So I would be willing to waive my normal fee and allow you to ship me some eggs. I will then notify you that they got here maybe broken maybe not. Then when either they hatch or I eat em I will send ya some egg shells just to show I got some but they may not be the ones you sent.

West of Olympia about 30 miles. I forget that I am in the sticks!

Thank you. I am very much in the sticks too...that would be why I do not know where you are.

OMG! finally make it back to the thread!! Whad I miss!! lol! What a trip! literally! Got up to Omak and met up with 4312 and picked up her fencing, got to see her flock, of chicks and pups and cats. Wished we would have had more time to chat, the BF and I knew we wouldn't be able to stay we had to leave for Monroe and she was on lunch!! So we will get together at a chicken show and hang!! Then we took off again to red reiners and picked up her mare. It was a long drive but, we had fun and got home safe and sound, missed my chickies and my incubator was still running no problem!! Barbee is settling in just fine and is a nice girl! We have some work to do, but, we have plenty of time to figure that out!
Everyone was very nice and it was great to put a face to the names, I only wish we had more time to talk turkey!! oops I mean chickens!! LOL

Where is Elma? Anyone?

Highway 12 in the very easternmost part of Grays Harbor County, about... 40 minutes on any day except a summer Friday from my house? Half way to the Ocean, for me, and a long trip for you. Too bad: we need to have more stuff in places like Waterville or Odessa.

You are familiar with Waterville and Odessa......

Yes..it would be great if there more shows and things happening closer to me. I don't think i will be able to make this show since it is so far away.

ARGH! The Hamburg rooster that the person I'm buying pullets from told me about has been sold, so I'm SOL on the easy way to a breeding pen. I was speculating madly on the probable outcome of a BLRW/SSH cross, but that was just late night fantasies: how silly can I get? Just watch!

Any suggestions?

I tried for 10 mins to edit and couldn't do it. Must be because I used my forward facing camera on my iPhone so it won't let me rotate the dumb thing! Oh well if it gives a laugh to someone then it's worth the humiliation!
lol.png

This is somewhat better I hope. At least you won't put your neck out looking at it!
