That is great news!

X 2! Here's hoping the 'cautious' part becomes an all clear with the new therapy...

Couldn't help but laugh about the rain in the hood... I was wearing my hoodie sweatshirt in the run yesterday, one of the ladies perched on my neck for a bit and left me a little present that I didn't find until later that evening...

Prompted this little poem to form in my head:

Ode to my Chickies:

Each day I come here to sit and visit.
I find your antics just exquisite.
To watch you play gives me so much pleasure.
The joy you bring me? I can’t measure.
But I do have one thing to ask:
I hope it’s not too great a task.
Before you jump up in my lap
To take your precious chicken nap,
I’d think it oooh sooo kind of you
To, um, take a second;
Lose the poo…?

My silky is a crabby little monster, but she lays every day. But keep in mind my silky is a freak, and doesnt like to hold to standerds, everyone tells me how friendl silkys are, but not mine. She's crazy, and the exception to the rule. But she gives me LOTS of tiny little eggs! Plus alot of entertainment! She cracks me up, the way she moves, and every time I see her run I laugh.

Sorry Im tired and rambling.

Wanna see something absolutely hysterical running ?
Toss some bread far from a Cochin, and watch the pointed-toed ballerinas run..it is soo funny!!
Like a hippo in toe shoes, they hop real high with each step!!

Hello fellow Washingtonians!! I live in Seabeck Wa on the Kitsap peninsula. I'm new to chicken ownership, my girls are just over three weeks old. I have 2 buff orpingtons, 1 Delaware, 1 Rhode Island Red, 2 Easter Egger and 1 Barred Rock and two duckilings a Pekin and I'm not sure of the other one. I just wanted one duck but I was told they don't do well by themselves. I'm having alot of fun and I'm learning as I go!

according to my sources you need a flock of at least a dozen ducks, specifically the wine bottle variety, (AKA Runners) to promore optimum health.

Welcome to the gabby site.

Anyone in the Spokane area looking to give up 1 chicken? ...maybe 2(since we know how chicken math works)
We lost 2 of our chicks, one to a dog(now fixed to keep dogs out) and one to drowning.
