Your so welcome! I remember how scary it was the first hatch and verrrry eggciting at the same. I'm no expert so hopefully I helped some. All else fails, send the National Guard to get CL out of her garden!!

Well thank goodness for this new development. I didn't know what to tell you since I didn't even have a hygrometer to measure humidity during my hatch. VERY VERY exciting stuff isn't it? We'll be waiting to hear when the first one pops out!

ok so of the four that pipped at around 4 pm today only one has made progress the others have only cracked the egg? I do see one more starting, if they started to pip could something happen to make them stop?? I'm going to sit on my hands, but just wondering?? I'm sure every hatch is different but, is there a timetable of some sorts to judge the activity??

oh ok, boy I hear the peeps and I keep telling them, come on my babies!!! lol! I have this really weird saying that I have no idea where I got it, but, when I got my first flock when I moved here, I didn't name them individually, I just call them all chickdachicks!! And when I got my first bunch of chicks I called them Peepdapeeps!! lol! Ok guess I'm cuckoo for coco puffs! But, ever since thats what I call the older chickens and then the babiesj! So I'm standing by the incubator chanting, come on peepdapeeps!! lol .... ok I'm done!!

I saw my first 2 pip about 8 am and took DD out shopping. When we returned about 8 hours later we found our first chick who was still quite wet so had only recently hatched. 2nd chick also hatched when we weren't looking about 2 hours later. So in my case it was 8-10 hours from "pip to pop". I'm sure it varies with hatches.
