I so know your hurt, I had a doe kid late yesterday had to help her one kid was born dead the other one I stayed up with all night long trying to save her. When she was born she looked ok but she wasnt. So with no sleep all night I walked around and told her Mom how great a girl she was. Than had to make the round to all the other goats and give each a kiss and love. My poor husband woke up to her still in the house, I knew she was gone but just had to keep trying. I cant do this anymore it hurst so much..

that's very sad. Do the mama goats get depressed when their babies die?

They do go through a rough time, we always take the kids away at birth but this little girl I thought should be with the mom. Than a few hours later I did take her so Mom is very upset. My son said this morning she had jumped her gate and was by our house gate looking for her.
When you take the kids the moms cry for a while than give up and are fine. But during that time I cry with them because its so sad..

Way too cute! That is an excellent hatch rate! I don't know how to cull - I read posts with gasses and I wonder of that is painful to the lungs and eyes. Seems breaking a neck is quicker and more humane, though I doubt I could do it.

Edited to add:
Oh, and that top pic looks lie a bucnch of kids crammed into the back window of a school bus!

Oh your right it does, I see it every day

The best way I find for chicks is just a pair of sharp sturdy shears. one quick snip and its done. No pain or suffocation.
I can't imagine the gas or putting them in the freezer in a baggie method. It seems like prolonged harm.

Actually, it's the old Cackleberry Linda. I got a new computer and couldn't figure out how to get BYC to recognize me as Cackle. I was too tired, cranky and untechy to figure it out. So, I started up again with a new name. Thanks for the welcom, though.
