Oh CL, those are really beautiful. You are a woman of MANY talents! One day when you have the space in the new "barn", do you see yourself taking any commissioned animal portrait jobs?

CL is - she's gonna use those barn plans and flip it upside down. Then when the water all recedes, she'll flip it back upright and have the only house around with no flood damage unless you count footprints on the ceiling!

I hope she decorates her barn walls with them, it will be a cool art gallery to show off her many talents. I love the barn! CL, are you going to have a metal roof? you can listen to it sing in the wind, and when it hails you'll find yourself a set of earplugs. I love ours, but when it is real stormy out, nobody sleeps well because it sure can get noisy!

I love that there is no $ spent for upkeep! The roof on our old place was thick with moss, we had to have it pressure washed every 2 years, and still we managed to get saplings to sprout in the valleys!

WooHoo!

According to the 10 day weather forecast, it is supposed to be sunny and 72 on June 5, until then every day has the same forecast as today; highs in the mid-50's and lows in the mid 40's, and rain with some thunderstorms. I can't wait to get my feet out of my fleece boots and into some sandals!

I think I need to give up on garden plans this summer and work on a greenhouse instead.

Long after our patience, I suspect. Big, ugly storm cell on the radar, most of it between you and the Columbia but bits of it spin off and whack me every once in a while, too.

The Hamburgs have tossed all the wood pellet bedding out of the nest box, replaced it wit dried grass, and are finding it a satisfactory repository for their eggs. Need to make a nice pudding or several batches of popovers.
