I leave my computer on and run to catch up between posts

HI JUST BUGGED!!!! WE SURE MISSED YOU!!!!

I no longer have many boys left for freezer camp; just 2, but DD and DH won't let me get rid of the run, so that leaves only 1, but he's a gorgeous exhibition black orpington from CGG that I am hoping someone will want for their flock - Huge and very mellow.

Filling my pool now - noticed the filter was making slurpy sounds, so I got to fix it before I go to bed. It's an "Endless Pool" about twice the size of a big hot tub with a current in it. Someday I will have to replce the vinyl liner, but I will have to make and sell a lot of jewelry before I can afford a new one, so I am putting patches on patches. Must be a new hole somewhere for me to find, the level dropped too quick. We love the pool, and use it frequently, and because it is indoors, heat and upkeep are about $30/month.

I am now envious of the pool, even if it leaks. And a thank you for missing me.

Come over any time and use it

I'll make us some lunch (quiche or scrambled eggs?)

I put my 2 extra Cuckoo roos up on C-list tonight about 8 and have already had 2 emails for them. Cool. This will ease my DH's fears about forever having 60 chickens!

I only have 14 more of the other breeds to go!
Oh and then there's the 6 new ones in the house that have hatched over the last 2 weeks. Yikes!

We are supposed to get rid of him this weekend. I figure it would take at least a week for someone to call and get the city back out here though.

How exactly would a relay work?

You drive the rooster part way and deliver it to someone, say Chicken Rustler who meets up with someone like Sadie Sue. I meet Sadie Sue somewhere, and take it north Everett or Mt. Vernon, where someone else ( who was it up in Bellingham who was interested?) meets me and picks it up.

I thought it was somebody in Oroville?

I go to the Emunclaw one but only to take cockerels. I would never take the chance and buy something. There are too many diseases out there to worry about. There is rarely quality stuff at the auction. The times I've been however, I have never seen anything horrifying but that doesn't mean there never is. You want to spend money on birds, come to my place. I have lots to pick from and they are healthy and guaranteed. I am close to you.

There ya go !!!! While the auction can be a fun experience. It can also be very devastating. And for the $$ you save in gas you could buy lots more birds from CGG. Any type of animal auction is for the most part a dumping ground.

The 3 Barnevelder Cockerals I bought from CGG and traded for processed roos should be there.

I guess that is the definition of a relay. I just can't believe strangers would be so wonderful to want to help me out like that. I just wondered if there was a catch! I hope it works out. The farm store where I got him will take all roosters back and try to re-home them. If I do that, I don't know where he will end up. I would rather know he is going to a good home.
