How old are they? JuJu has a huge comb is why I ask...

They will be 3 weeks old on Thursday. The last pic is the one I'm guessing is a cockerel and his comb is must larger compared to Juju who has the feathered legs. It's more apparent in the first photo of the two of them.

The points look more substantial like a roo. Juju's look finer like a pullet.
Now on my English Orps, I have a hard time telling the difference. they are slower to mature.

One of the 2 1/2 mth old Cuckoos crowed yesterday. Is that early? I guess I thought it would be more like 4 mths.
I also let the bigger birds in with the teen agers for the first time and it went much better than I expected.
The blue Orp must be a roo cause he was taking on anyone who would bring it on. Even the pullets that were twice his size were backing down. I hope that doesn't mean he's going to be a booger!

I was planning on keeping him.

Heck no jump on in here. And if ya were missed in the welcomes it was not on purpose. It is just that things get rolling pretty fast here at times and some times we ferget our manners.
Not to worry about being from the other side of the big creek. We let Cloverleaf farm hang out with us too.

And if ya can keep a secret I will tell ya something. Now promise not to tell but I am a transplant. See I lived in The Dalles when I was youngER. No tellin now ya hear !!!!

I think the thing that makes Sphinx Moths creepy is that they're cold: you expect anything that size and winged to be noticibly warm, like a chick or a hummingbird.

I did read that in order for them to fly away, they have to flutter their wings first to warm up so that they can take off. Interesting!
They remind me of a B-52 bomber of the bug world.
