Well, Heather agreed with her DH when she said she only had 50 some chicks in the incubator. She told my DH she had around 150....

She didn't fib to her DH....she just agreed with what he had said. something around 50.

wonder how many coops her DH thinks she is getting? Heahter: Can you hide the coops from DH? If so tell me how so I can sneak some into my back yard.

In all seriousness: I will PM you later...got to go and take care of the crew and get ready for work.

LOL Well....considering it might be a really long building when all said & done...I doubt it. He doesn't really know about any coops, yet. I mentioned in passing one day that I found someone to build me some "bantam'' coops. He kind of blew it off.

However, he will be gone for a few times here & there. So maybe if it's set up while he's gone and he comes home to them...he won't notice?

Actually, the bigger problem will be getting an area level and ready for the newest coops...something that my DH usually does with the backhoe...hmmmm.....

Your gonna have to think up a really good story to tell him why you need that area flattened out. I'm no help.
You are hilarious....paint the coops like CR was saying and camoflauge them into the background.

Today has been a very rough day around here. I sat for hours with my sisters dog, hand feeding him, soaked dog food, and making sure he had water. I kept him as comfortable as I could over the past two days.

sat outside with him yesterday, through the rain and thunder, just to keep him comfortable and happy. We layed Capone to rest this evening. Capone is the dog that was paralised for the past two months. He took a turn for the worst about a week ago. Quit eating, drinking, cried all the time, and was in constant pain. He is gone now, no longer in pain. What a sad day it has been...

I also lost a mentor back on the 20th. His funeral was today as well... Im not so sure I am really in the mood to be on here tonight, so if I disapear... Well I'll chat with you later.

Wow, you already got an egg from one of your Barnies? I thought you got them from CGG, the same hatch as mine! I let my barnies free-range for a while today with all the big birds. One of the roos got in a fight with both orpington roos and Chirp, my NH hen, who had been queen. She defends the orpington roos! It was not an all out for blood fight. The Barnie got cornered and backed down. I rescued him and put him back in his Eglu.

I did get her from CGG, but I don't know how old she is. She wasn't a little chick. CGG told me she should start laying anytime when I picked her up in April? so I was guessing she was still under a year old, but not recently hatched. Your barnies were pretty little when you got them, weren't they?

They were only a couple days old, so I guess they are about 17 weeks now. I don't know how old Barnies are when they lay. My EE's were around 20 weeks, but everyone else was later

IMHO a $20 sawzall (new) aint worth packing home. I would also stay away from the ones at HFT I destroyed one of them in less than a week cutting up an aluminum boat.
CL Yes I also have the RYOBI. I have cordless drill, right angle drill and recrip saw. My next will be the little circ saw.
I have a 5 1/2" corded and it is my favorite.
