Chickie, I think your free chick looks like a Dominique. That's what they sent me last time I ordered. Of course it was a roo. If I ever order again I'm going to tell them I'll pass on the freebie. They can keep their roos.

This one is a Dominicker, and appears to be a pullet.
There is no comb formation at all.
Also has the 2 rows of feathers on the wings...I hope it is a pullet anyways, I will keep her.
She is a very nice, calm chick, big & sturdy.
Not flighty or harebrained at all.
Not scared, no cry baby here.
Pettec guessed correctly!

Especially after we get the last half of the duplex insulated & done!
And everyone is welcome!!!
I was planning on a few weekend "barn rasings" and get a quarterd pig or beef from Stumpfarmer (or sister) and have the big barbeque!!!!!!!!!!
Keg og beer, some nice wine...big garden salad..y'all can amp if ya want to...it will be fun!!!!!!!!!

Someone needs to come to my house and help me sex 12 week old birdies and tell me what some of them are.

The one crowing - I am assuming is a Roo (that is for you CR).

There are a couple of others I am not sure about.

REI: One of the eggs you gave me that just hatched is one of those naked necks. Poor ugly little sucker. We named him Frodo. So ugly he is cute. Lots more pipping and zipping. I will let all know the final outcome.

So if anyone is headed to my side of the mtns for a "retreat" or vacation...let me know...stop in. I promise to let you use the bathroom and have a glass of water, maybe even a sode (that one is for you Julie

I'm in Chehalis so I am very familiar w/ Winlock. Use to live in Napavine which was even closer.
Things can get very chatty at times so you may want to do some typing exercises to get prepared!
