there are no stupid questions except for the ones you dont ask. yes saddle feathers are back feathers right in front of the tail. cockerels have longer pointy ones and pullets have short blunt ones. if you wing sexed your orps keep track, you may be right!! blue over black will give you 50% each color. blue over buff will give you who knows what, buff does not mix with the blue black and splash. it gives you strange unrecognized colors per the SOP.

The large sword type leaf or the smaller rounder one? Or will either work? That is good to know!

This one. It is commonly found on the edge of gravel drive ways. Crush it up and rub the juice on you should start to feel relief right away. Later in the season it doesn't have much juice and ya may need to chew on it just a bit to get it to juice up. When I am working bees I try to locate some in advance just in case. Of course I carry sting away too but prefer the natural plantain.

RFF What about Benedryl cream can you use it. Sorry I have never been preggers so don't know much about do's and don'ts .

I've not really looked around yet. With all the orchards around here, there must be loads of beekeepers, I just need to find some
