I know exactly how that is! DH has been promising for years to build me a greenhouse. Then I ended hiring someone to build a snow-sturdy roof for the dog kennel and am using that, but I needed benches. DH said he could do that. It took him less than an hour using available scraps, eye-balled everything, measured nothing; just a 10' by 2' frame on uneven legs at wonky angles, one support midway down, and hardware cloth scraps for the top - not only is it leaning and wobbly, but the wire sags, so the plant pots tip over! Ihave plywood scraps lying on top to keep my plants upright. and when people come over and want to see the chickens, he so proudly points out that he built me this nice bench for my plants! (Maybe I'll take some photos .... think opposite quality of work than the beautiful stuff posted by VF.)

One sunny day when he is not home, I am going to flip the thing over and put in a bunch of supports and saw the legs so they are all the same length.

But he's my DH and I love him anyways. If he made it quality, I'd have no story about it to amuse myself with.
