I caught the 2 big rats last week, then a small, mouse-sized one the day before yesterday, but no others. I know they can't all be gone, but I've seen no more signs of them being around either. I have even been leaving food in the covered runs overnight, and have not been getting any rat tirds in them.
DD dumped the small rat out of the rat zapper, and before she could get the shovel to fling it over the fence and into the woods, the 2 orp roos grabbed it and played tug-o-war. Man can they shred a rat in a few seconds! They ate all the meaty bits, leaving nothing but a tail with a hollowed out, ripped up hide!
The roos caught a shrew the other day and did the same.
