Yes, Kansas and CR, the feed is medicated. That is why I was curious/concerned. I was wondering on just putting them on straight scratch or something to get the medication part out of their body before head chopping begins.

I wouldn't go to straight scratch. Not sure what ya should finish on. See I feed patriot feed so I know there is no meds and I would just finish on the max grow 20%.

does the max grow have hormones or anything like that in it? I only have our local feed store. Not someone special to buy food from.

Nope just grains and a few minerals.
Ain't it funny how the 2 hour time difference gets converted to 2 MINUTES on here !!!!

I would get them off the medicated feed. You could give them some type of gourmet feed for their last meal.
