Well she WAS suposed to be a Quarter Horse Paint, but she was malnurished as a foal, so in turn her growth was stunted. Hence why she is a quarter pony. she stands right around 13.2 hh on the height tape. I dont have a hand mesuring stick, to get an acurate heighth on her, but she is deffinately NOT horse sized.

So for those whom are handy and wanting solar power.....
You can buy the solar cells and put a panel together your self. You just have to be able to make a "panel box" and solder.
The rest is not hard but since I hate working with electricity I tend to have a certified peep do that work.

I am making simple panels to hang on my shed when it gets done (still waiting for broken cement mixer part so I can build retaining wall!)
I plan on having long narrow panels that will fit inside the channels of the tin roof. Or hang on the side of shed that gets most of the sun.

I got a bunch of "broken" cells for really cheap on ebay to play with and learn what to do/don't. Then I have a pack of whole cells that will be made in to panel. I watch ebay for the "cheap" auction everyone missed.... so I'll be buying and making panels when ever I get a steal

so far I have spent $50 total for 1 home made panel.....

Now the electronics to run said panels are not cheap and I have yet to find one I can afford. so 12v battery and 12v lights for the shed will have to do until I can afford the inverters etc

Peas love cold temps.
I also plant climbers, not bush.
Bush anything gets blown over here (and probably where you are too)
Territorial offers several that do well in the area.
Mine are Oregon Spring, and I save seed every year.
These are pod peas we love for stir fry & fresh in sald.
My Dad has snap pelch, or the shavings out of your coops.
Then I covered them with 3 foot sections of 6-foot fence, bent over into tunnels, cover & staple the plastic on, and forget about them.
vent in each end allows air & prevents any fungal rot...water every so oftem when dry, I have to rip off 1 side of the plastic & in deep winter, use a watering can.
pretty soon you see little garlics peeking out of the mulch, all around you is snow.
The trick is the cloves grow deep roots in winter, under the mulch in the warmish compost..
All winter they grow DOWN.

I had peas.sugar snap peas. Twice. The little jerks ate them

Well, got the greenhouse cover on Elvis's residence, tomorrow ABBA; I didn't realize how dark the tarp made the hoop house until I went down there at 6:30 and they were all sacked out.I have to cut them lots and lots of grass tomorrow, too, to cover the poo. Grass and Lemon Balm and maybe some mint. They deserve a not-smelly environment, and I need to cut back the stuff that's strangling the rest of the garden.

I've been trying to give everything some bedstraw, but even with nitrile gloves that stuff is dangerous to handle; I've got bracelet cuts on both arms.
