When I was a firefighter for the Forest Service, we all used it then too - it was on the list of items we must carry (along with nasty old C-rations and MRE's left over from who knows when!)

Ok. I now have a new addition, and I have NO CLUE what to do with it... HELP! lol

My friend just dumped a single quail chick, on me. It looks to be freshly fluffed...
Who has quial? Where can I get a couple to keep it company?
I read fine ground game bird starter for feed?
What temp should it be kept at?

We got alot done this last weekend over the 4th. We had a ramp up to our house when we bought it but after living here 5yrs it was getting some pretty scary soft spots. So my hubby tore it out & put in a new landing & steps. That was fun.
Ramp behind the car. The car is forsale but that's another subject lol.

New steps. Railing will be done next paycheck.

Now we have to get rid of what's left of the ramp boards, probably burn them & figure out what to do with the walkway leading up to the steps. Fun planning.

Sunday the 3rd we found out I lost a cousin. The 21yr lady that fell while hiking in the cascades. Julia was my cousin, dad's niece. Here's the story for those that would like to know, this one is pretty detailed. http://www.komonews.com/news/local/125049359.html Her funeral is on Monday. Kids should bury their old parents. Parents shouldn't have to bury their kids. There has been too many kids in the news lately loosing their lives, its sad.

hoo boy it's 95 in the shade right now just slight breeze. I have done everything I can think of for my chicks, ice in water, frozen ice jugs, shallow pans of water, spray down runs.

I have no idea what breed it is. Its the size of a quarter, and is chipmunk stripped. I have a super fuzzy small stuffed animal in with it...
