WOW. mine are the size of a pea. I didn't plant it far enough. I started with a big hugh clove and ended up witha bunch of garlic seeds. Hmmp...

Plant each clove seperately, and use wood shavings over the top, not dirt..and allow air, this is on Columbus Day.
An Italian tradition.
Then I put fence row over & stapled plastic down, but opened & watered every so many weeks..and avoid too much humidity which will just rot the garlic...

OK, will do that next time...now that I have a whole bunch of seed cloves. haha

I know you guys seem to be able to find the deals so i'll ask here. I am looking for a dog kennel, chainlink that can be taken down & put up. This will be used for a dog, Aussie. Doesn't need to be huge, just big enough for a dog house, a little room to move around & his dishes. Once in a while my mom might leave him over night but never longer then that. My mom is in need of one, she moves around a bit which is the reasoning behind being able to take down, she lives in a 5th wheel trailer & on friends land. An x-pen & or chain only contains him enough when she is there, lives in the house with her (Trailer). He tends to get himself in trouble when she has to leave him for the day. I can pay $100 or less. If anyone in the Bonney Lake or Puyallup area might have one let me know.

I admit I haven't been on for a v e r y long time, but my thoughts were with you...that must at least count for something.
Who is game for a big giant pot of curry? Is there a meeting somewhere soon? I have an urge to cook a big batch of something not duck related.

Oh yes we need to all meet and have fun. How about down this way?

Oooooh, I've finally gotten a message from her, and she's not vetoing me yet. She just asked for more info about my plan. Her brother had chickens and said she should NOT let them in her yard because they will destroy it. I told her I could leave them in the run most of the time (and showed her the type of coop/run I'm considering). Any other suggestions? If you were a homeowner concerned about your yard, how could you be persuaded?

yes using grill cleaner is a very good idea!!!! altho I do heat my grill up pretty good, and use the brush on it, I do clean it a few times a month depending on my use!!! Oh by the way, I have been to CL's house and the pics you see of her garden PALE in comparison to the real thing!! way to go on the tomatoes!! You should see the squash!! it's like taking over the yard!!!!

Explain to her that if they only are let out for a little while they don't do any real damage. And that you would be willing to repair any damage if any occured. Mine don't damage anything, but they do make a mess scratching around in the flower beds and even in the gravel. They may have one or two spots that they like to dust bathe, but all of these things take a broom or some bark to fix. Now their run is another matter altogether!

So re-assure her that you understand that this is her property and will make sure to take care of the yard, so that you will leave it in at least the same condition.
