My dad wanted to name me Agusta Wind, our last name, Wold, didn't match anything so that wouldn't have mattered. He just liked it but mom didn't like it so just named me Shannon Marie. Its cute to think of now but I know as a kid I would have been teased.

I was miffed at my parents for naming me Shannon cause at the time Shannon was a boys name!
I was actually named after the Shannon river in Ireland. MI is Lea after an Irish grandmother.
I don't mind my name now that I'm older.

OK OK OK yes we is ok nothing major just a little fire in the free BBQ. Well OK so it may have been 2' of flames with the lid closed (of course I didn't open it) and some flameage on the deck of the front porch. No big deal just turn off the burners and cool things down. Ten minutes and we are back to the goal of cookin some dinner.

My maiden name was Day, and my mom (slight hippie that she was), wanted to name me Summer.

I actually didn't change my name until I married the second time. I think 33 years would be a long time to be stuck with a name that didn't sound good. Not everyone marries young or even wants to change her name.

Okay, 10 pm....just got home from swim meet. Middle DS stomped tushy...he did great. He is a girl magnet and always has this onterage of girls following him everywhere. Sheesh he is arrogant. Good boy though. I tried to teach him that girls are icky and expensive and he needs to concentrate on his sports and school. I don't think he is listening to me.

Gotta go to bed as 5 am comes early. New job (at hospital) is going great.

Got home today...DH is totally excited about what he saw/read on Youtube regarding fly fishing and chicken butt feathers. He takes me out to the runs and points to the bottoms he wants feathers from. Poor chickies. Some are going to freezer camp - so he can have all the bottomw feathers he wants. I think he called them hackle feathers. Oh, now he is telling me it is not bottom feathers ..... it is hackles and saddles. okay, gotta go check that all birdies are where they are suppose to be and off to bed. Another swim meet on Thursday. I need my sleep.
