true...but my slight OCD tendencies would have made me do it anyway
It was enlightening tho!! And loved reading all the bits and bobs in the various posts...
But I digress. We spent the day at Kla ha Ya Days (
http://www.klahayadays.com/ ) in Snohomish...it was great fun! Dragged my hubby off to go have an "experience", and he insisted on driving his little green convertible.
Sigh.
I now match the pink of my tank top lol And that's WITH the sunscreen. Silly man wanting to drive with the top down on the car....oh well. He had fun driving the back roads and then getting some shaved ice. I had fun watching the dancing horses in the parade, getting some kettle korn, and some lovely loose leaf teas from the shop in town. We even stopped and got some melons and treats for the girls from the produce stands on the way home.
All in all it was a good day!! It was warm...like 75 F but in the sun it felt so much hotter. I felt bad for the little chicken on the 4H float...she looked like a BR and seemed to be a bit on the hot side.
And then tomorrow, since Rixx is in a good mood, he is going to go out and look at the run and coop for me and start measring for making the winter changes
So hopefully in the next bit of time should have my new roofed run and gutters on the coop roof. I can't wait until next year when we will probably just make a new coop for the girls and extend the run.
So here I sit perusing the forums, eating my choco taco and watching the girls out back annihilating a watermelon.
I told Rixx on our way home that I am in a rather good mood. I have so many blessings in my life... him, our home, things finally going right for us financially, and the chickens and cats doing well. And now my brother and his fiancee are moving to the state, and Rixx has a new job that he loves...life is pretty darn good!!
