Who is the goose guru?

Friend of a friend who lives in Texas.
Yeah these birds are cool..self reliant, weeders and lawn mowers, and they are NICE, and they are small as geese go..so no giant land mines.
Eggs, or goslings ship in the spring...cool.

I just have to put up with the neck high grass until then...

I am in the same fix, still, although the lamb is doing a nice job on the west yard- which is where I spend most of my time, anyway. I just spent twenty minutes cutting tall grass for ABBA, who were a right treat to feed this afternoon, since I was late due to washing machine problems and they were out of EVERYTHING. Agnetha, who is tiny compared to everything but the Hamburgs, gave me several gentle nips as I tried to get the water jars in. She is a bit of a disciplinarian when it comes to laggard humans. The cockerels and Anni-Frid are total sweeties, but Agnetha Has Her Standards.

It'll be interesting to watch her and Ian meet.

In a year like this, especially: all of the people I know who usually have finished up their own fields and are looking around for contracts are chasing their tails: second, even third cuttings.

Is that oak? Locust? I know a lot of the old homestead locusts are finally coming down in my neighborhood, great firewood once it dries enough to split.

I miss having a wood stove- especially when the lights go out- but not splitting or stacking wood.

ok I have the smartest turkeys IN THE WOOORRRRLLLLDDD!!!! It was really hot the other day and I was out making sure everyone had water and the turkeys were following me around. I started to fill one of the tubs and after it was done, I let the water run out of the hose, and the turkeys were really close, I could see them eyeing the water. If it had been the chickens they would have drank the water on the ground, NOT MY turkeys!!! they decided to drink out of the hose!!!! I was so amazed and I was laughing! It was kind of cool! and dang it I didn't have my camera!!! speaking of which here are some pics I promised.

And I had always heard turkeys weren't bright. I guess yours are proving they are the exception to the rule. Cute pics. Your rooster is very vibrant!
