Have heard of it....a white right? Is it sweet or dry? I don't do the sweet wines very well.

It can be either, though probably more often sweet. I prefer the sweet - Moscato D'Asti, I believe.

Classic dessert wine, that one. Then there's the Hungarian stuff, which I think is called Imperial Muscat, very sweet and velvetty stuff.

Me, I had the misfortune once to have a real Private Reserve Tualatin Pinot Noir, and now everything else tastes like ink or cough syrup.

My FAVORITE all-time wine is the "To Die For" Lula from Rockwall Cellars in Omak! It's a Riesling and a dessert wine. It don't even get a headache from it! Too bad I can't drink any of it...for a while.

Patience. Love. Empathy. It takes time and isn't easy, but as long as you don't burn your bridges it will eventually smooth out. My daughter has been a challenge since she hit 16. She's 31 now. I love her to death, but she and I are about as opposite as can be. There has been so much drama and so many tears over the years. Luckily I have a very close friend who I love and respect very much. She is so much like my daughter that I look at her and tell myself... she (my friend) is a caring, loving, decent person who happens to live her life much differently than I do, so DD can too. I thank heaven frequently that I have both of these women in my life. Trust that you've provided a good foundation. Mistakes will be made, just like a baby learning to walk. Be there to support and encourage, it pays off in the long run.

I will PM you. I need to get your address. I plan to pick them up early Sunday afternoon before DH and I head down to Yelm where I should be able to meet my connection (Kaneke). We'll get those birds to their new home!

terrific

I PM-ed my phone numbers to Dana and Toni, told DH that I could *not* go with him to a Sunday event he hadn't told me about earlier

I really couldn't have gone anyway because I need to save most of my energy for granddaughter Jenelle (just graduated summa cum laude from law school, yay ! ), her boyfriend, and her brother -- who are arriving via Amtrak on the 12th, will stay with us for a few days

(they flew over to Anchorage, going to tour there a bit, not sure where they go from there, but think they are taking the train from Vancouver BC down to Lacey)

so gotta do a serious house cleaning --- DS Brian and DGD Hailey were here only a few hours and mostly we spent that out in the yard with the chickens, or out eating ....

am dealing with an epileptic dog whose bladder lets go unexpectedly; DS, DH, and me ... none of us do any housework to speak of .... and the house would be condemned if anyone NOT family, came in to see it

with DS #1 cooped up at work release facility, that means it's basically up to me, since DH has his own projects to work on, that he needs to get finished before the fall rains start

Moscato can be sweet, medium, or somewhat dry, depends on which varietal is used, how long the fermentation is allowed to go on, and whether any additions are made to it ... it can also be allowed to freeze and become Ice Wine

but it is somewhat different from the old standard muscatel ....
