Oi...I am so tired....and sick
sad.png

But, at least I am not as sick as I was last week...stupid sinus/cold really got me down. Now its just a throat tickle that makes me cough but ugh I am so tired still. Had too much stuff to do tho:

Birdies now have a fresh coop, fresh water, fresh food, a fresh raked run. We also did the weeding in the front garden and most of the back <with some help from the ungrateful Ladies of course>. Finally got all the ick off me from the yard...ewwww

I have been keeping tabs on baby brother and his fiancee who are driving to Pullman from So Cal for his new job. Passing on his <I'm almost to XYZ city> info to Mom cos she is so upset he is leaving she can't do anything but cry when he talks to her atm. Then have to pass the same info to Dad so he won't worry.

Then made dinner and finally have a chance to sit down and relax a bit.

I think it might be an early night...for me and the Ladies!! They won't be as thrilled as I am tho to be sent to bed early tho...but oh well I am Head Hen and what I say goes

Glad the baby is fine! Those anti-contraction drugs sure are fun! Initially I was on indocin by IV, and starting at 28 weeks I went into real labor a few times, so then I got injections of terbutaline or something like that. It stopped the contractions, but they failed to first mention to me that it makes your heart race, so I had a panic attack thinking I was about to have a heart attack! I'm a but surprised they stopped your labor at just about 38 weeks. 38-42 weeks is considered full term. Olivia was born by C-section at 35 weeks. She was tiny, and had no sucking reflex then, but she was breathing on her own. I would have preferred it had she come out a week or 3 later. One nice thing about being born early, their lungs are not developed enought to be screamers. She was nearly 2 months old before she could cry loudly.

If you make it till Tuesday, your baby will be born on my birthday

We need some more good things associated with that day, right now, it starts with the Greco-Persian battle of Artemesium in 430 BC, the atomic bomb in Nagasaki, Nixon's resignation, and Jerry Garcia's Death (Greatful Dead). About the only good thing is Betty Boop's public debut in 1930.

Yeah I have no idea why they stopped the contractions--other than the doctor looked "busy and bothered" to be there....LOL I'll have to see tomorrow if I've progressed any more.

Yeah....the contractions were pretty horrible...they were 4-6 minutes apart, 40-60 seconds long and "coupling" which meant there was no break in-between.

The stuff they have me on is a heart medication that actually LOWERS your blood pressure...mine was pretty high when I went in (I was in a lot of pain & anxious) but after I settled in it was 110/64. Before I left the hospital, it was 100/60. I was told that I'd be dizzy and to get up slowly to avoid tipping over. I tend to spring out of bed because once I get my momentum--I don't want to stop it!

I have to admit I keep checking the thread to read up on you and make sure you are doing ok...I promise I am NOT stalking!! Really!!!

Well, I failed to be useless today- I actually did something beyond the laundry back-log (I was without a washer until Wednesday, went to the fair on Thursday, and was doing company cleaning Friday and right up until the company showed up yesterday) animal keeping, and aquisition and preparation of human food. Of course that was because the moles/voles/gophers dug another hole pretty much right next to the one I stepped in and broke a rib so it was necessary to contrive a plug for the tunnel out of strips of landscape cloth, fist sized rocks, and gorilla glue. That'll fix 'em.

Next time I go to dig rocks out of my hidden stash of pit-run, in August, after a rainy summer, remind me to take something to break the soil up with.

ooooohhhhhhh how adorable!!!
