Well my 19 year old DD is pretty happy with Pullman and the size of the town, even though she's pretty well insulated. She's just about ready to move into her first apartment, has a nice intimate group of friends, a few favorite restaurants, and some clubs nearby, some in Moscow. She does prefer WSU over a huge campus like UW. Personally, I'd like her a little closer to home but we can't have everything. She's far enough away that she feels very independent, although financially she is not. However, I did tell her since she has her first on campus job this year, that she'll be buying her own groceries now. It's time she learned to cook and shop like a student and oddly enough she's looking forward to that!

Sorry, I was being a bit of a smart ass. I graduated from WSU and then worked at UI for a while. I really like it over there. If I could find a job, I would happily move back over there (I have a standing invitation on a place to live).

Eh, no need to apologize! I can appreciate a good smart a$$ remark. Listen, I'm glad I'm not living in Pullman, but appreciate that my daughter is happy, that's all.

At the Olympia Farmer's Market there was a demonstration of a lot of the adult groups that do dance in the area. It went from 10:30-2:30 (the market runs from 10-3) at 11:15 and 1:30, I danced swing, lindy, blues and charleston.

I really admire people who can dance well. All of my attempts at ballroom dancing have not been very impressive. Although there was a play I did a couple of years ago where I was required to tango and with the help of an excellent instructor my partner and I were able to fake our way through the play's run.

But the lindy and charleston? You must have incredible energy and stamina!

I am so glad you think I have energy and stamina. I have definitely had to work on it. After losing about half the muscle mass of my legs (chemo sucks), I needed to do something to get it back and I was in no shape to be doing sports, so I started dancing. Specifically, I started going to the Contra Dance on the 3rd Saturdays in Tacoma. If you can walk in a circle, you can contra dance. If you would like to come, it is at K and Division (I think), caddy-corner to TG.

We started buying hay from this guy during the end of winter. The first 3 loads were very nice. Had no issues what so ever. While loading the hay I turned away 6 bales that were obviously bad. I asked to purchase hay out of the newer nicer stck in the barn, as it was plainly obvious that it was better quality, and he refused, saying he wanted to get rid of the older stuff before selling the new cutting... And I do understand the thought process behind that, but... Come on really! Im a repeat customer, have given him over $800 this year alone, I would think that he would be a little more willing to help out his return customers... So far he is the only hay dealer that I have run into this issue with. Everyone else I have come across is more than willing to replace moldy bales, or at least give a refund... More than anything it is frustrating.

Has anyone bought from drive thru feed's hay? I have been buying timothy hady from del's but it had quite a bit of dust in it which I really don't want to feed that to my rabbits.

Were you expecting me to do the Robot or something? Anyway, I took up dancing to try and get my coordination and balance back after having my brain fried. You probably do not want to hear the icky details. Either way, if anyone on here wants to go to the swing dance that is every Tuesday at 7:30pm at the Eagles in Olympia, I could probably get you in free (at least the first time).

Of swing dancers that I know what they do for a living, about half of them are engineers, mostly electrical and mechanical.

Sorry please don't take it bad I was just a little surprised as the av and the dance don't really match IN MY WEE WITTLE PEA BWAIN !!

How about this one to add to it? People are really impressed with the metal work that I do. I look at it and think of what is wrong with it and what I could have done better. Other people look at it and

make comments about how they wish they had the ability to do that.

Well ya got me beat cause I am too fat to fly and by the time I could get enough courage down my gyro would probably cease to function and I would end up in a heap on the floor!

No risk of me winning any flying or dancing competitions so I may as well just hang out on BYC with MY BUDDIES !!! And maybe even a few who don't like me but they will be ok. Once they getthat bridge built they will be able to get over it !

That sounds like it was perfect physical therapy for you! I'll keep the Contra Dance in mind for the future. Right now my evenings are taken up by rehearsals at Tacoma Little Theater, but I keep threatening to attempt dance lessons again one day.
