Just got caught up on the posts...

Ogress, funny- we just found one of our bantam Araucanas is laying underneath the coop. We found a hoard of about 11 eggs. I guess she didn't even want to deal with the broody in the nest box next to her.

There were many other thoughts I had to put out but my brain is pretty much mush so... just think that I am commenting a very wise, thought-condusive remark regarding your (YES, YOU as anyone who may be reading this!) post.

Update as of late: I've been having some braxton-hicks lately and have tried to slow down but it is difficult. The little guy is doing some serious somersaults over the last week- week and a half. DH and I are slightly concerned as we've had friends have some grave experiences with umbilical cord strangulation but he's still kicking, twisting, movin' & a groovin' so I guess we shouldn't be too concerned. In my daily journal it is saying that most babies are head down now (31wk) but our guy still has his head in my upper right quadrant abdomen most of the time so idk...

We'll be having another ultrasound soon to check out his kidneys again. Most likely the last one until we meet him- I would assume, although I'm not sure if they'll check it right before birth to know whether he'll be in surgery right after delivery. If he's still showing signs, then I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there so we can be prepared for delivery.

I've noticed I've been getting more emotional lately. And also a little more worried about our life changes. DH is doing what he can with help to get all set up that I cannot do (popcorn textured ceilings are out in case of asbestos), we'll have to paint the ceiling, agree on a yellow paint for the nursery walls, paint that, install a new lightfixture which will be the ceiling fan/light combo so baby has air flow and white noise, DH is going to do wainscoting (who knows but that's what he'd like to do...) and then we have to return all the items back into the nursery that were removed for the ceiling. Phew

I must havbe missed some posts - I don't recall the kidney issue. What is going on there? Hopefully something that will self-correct in short time.

That's a big project to take on just before delivery! Good luck getting it all done!

I am new on this thread.

. I have 3 girls and no eggs yet. But the bo squated for me yesterday so it should be soon. Can't have roosters where I live, (not even supposed to have the chickens, but so many of us do in this community the board members would get voted off the board if they tried to make us get rid of them!!!!!) It has been pretty warm today, the girls have been out hangin in the shade and a nice breeze has come up.

A toddler was giving her daddy a tea party. She brought him a little cup of "tea" which was just water, of course. After several cups of tea , her Mom came home, Dad made her wait in the living room to watch his little Princess bring him a cup of tea, because it was, "Just the cutest thing!" Mom waited, and sure enough, here she comes down the hall with a cup of tea for Daddy. She watches him drink it up and then says, "You know the only place she can reach water is the toilet, right?"
