LOL Maybe there's a niche for a baby that predicts them? See if her hair is extra full of static and then let everyone know a storm is coming?

That would be cool!
Seems she is electric!!!!!!!

Obviously a clean baby!
Isn't it the funnest thing about a baby is to give them a bath?!?!

I loved the big sponges that cudle the whole baby...fit them right in the sink!
That, and I love Mennen's "Baby Magic" lotion.............smells so good.
But I HATE baby powder!!!
Ahhhhhhhhh...mammories!!

I HATE baby powder smell, too. I found some Lavender nighttime lotion that smells fantastic and helps her sleep, it's the best stuff, ever!

I have none at this time....everyone is molting in that pen and I haven't gotten a Sumatra egg in probably two weeks.

I might have some before winter....but I'm not sure....

Where does your friend live? I also have some well-started chicks that I'll be selling once they're "graded."

Okay, so, stepping in here to ask -

Have any of you ever shipped live plants before?

If so, was there any place you needed to go to first to get your plant inspected, approved, etc before shipping or is it like hatching eggs, and you can just simply mail it off at the PO without worries? (granted of course you yourself made sure there's no issues with the plant)

Well, that's no help.

( not meaning it to you, just sayin' - this whole "states differ" thing is really not the greatest for those of us who aren't big businesses with the time, money, and resources to look at it all )

Ugh, finally got my last few photos loaded. Something is going on with the laptop. Any editing takes HOURS to import into Lightroom or Photoshop, to save, etc. All that work and they're not that great because I'm telling you - those chicks are FAST! I'm not able to snatch them up too easily, they run down the ramp into the mini-run where I can't get them and Miss Whitey Ford does a good job of blocking my way when I try to grab them from above when they're in the mini-coop. She's pretty cool though - if I do get one she doesn't fight me but waits patiently for it's return whereupon she has to fuss and fuss over it to make sure I didn't damage it I guess.

Here they are when they were in the yard the other day when it was hot. I was able to get a few pics of her high tailing it back to the nursery when I decided they needed to get back. And a pic of the ONE chick I was able to catch!

Candy, they all have tails and I'm telling you, I was watching to see who got them first! They all grew tail feathers at the same time. If we're lucky, we may just have 5 pullets, although I did see some chest bumping when they were out in the yard. Funny chicks.

Whitey and EE chicks in the garden -
