Go to the web site of whatever state you want to send to, and see what you can find. Some states like Washington ban all field grown plants (we don't have Japanese beetles yet and we don't want them, thank you very much).

Illia, maybe try the Dept of Ag web sites & see what they say there about shipping?
You may also call someplace like Raintree Nursery & talk to them there and ask what is necessary to ship plants.
Hope that helps.

This may be late in coming, but I will tell you that you can freeze fresh eggs.
Crack them open, scramble & freeze for future use.
As far as cooked eggs, I think they get very rubbery being twice-cooked, but you can try it.
I know you can make & sandwich waxed paper between crepes, and thaw for use later, but they have a bit of flour in them.
You will have to try out omelets and let us know how it goes!

I saw her last Thursday at Tacoma Little Theater. She came to the play again for "Pay What You Can" night. I thought we were going to hear from her sometime last week but maybe she's busy with school in session again.

X2.......I called her a week ago & caught her driving, so I told her to stop talking while driving & call me when you get home.
She has not called , so I will bug her again soon, like tonight.
But I can only guess she is driving bus.

Unfortunately, it is easier for me to make meals/food on the weekends that we can use during the week. I really don't htave the time for 60 seconds of doing the eggs in the mornign....I know that sounds stupid...but I would have to allow time to make sure the counter is washed - because not everyone n the house washes it. I am not always the last to use it...husband goes to work before I do and he always leaves a mess. So my OCD (or CDO) would kick in I would have to clean before and after. I have to wash hands inbetween touching eggs, chopping peppers, frying up some bacon, or maybe using some cheese. And then all would have to be cleaned after. So unfortunately, I would have to get up earlier than my now 5:30 to get to work by 7. Do I sound like a basket case? I am.

I've made crustless quiches in muffin tins before and froze them. Then microwave them for 30-60 seconds to warm them up!

thank you...this is also a great idea.

Well, I don't know if it will work - never tried it. But seems to me it would be far easier and less time consuming to make your omelets fresh. If you use a microwave to derfost, it would take longer than cooking them! I have some shallow, handmade pottery bowls (I'm a potter) that I beat the eggs in, then put them in the microwave for 24 seconds, give them a flip, another 24 seconds and they are done. couldn't be easier

I know that syndrome - I clean up the kitchen completely before I go to bed, then DH makes a midnight snack and leaves the salami and cheese on the counter, the kids get up and fend for themselves at breakfast at 6:30, get boy on the bus @ 6:45 and DD to study harp, check her HW, then go in to make mine and am grossed out by the kitchen. By the time it is clean again, DD needs to be at the bus stop, and I need to speed to Issaquah to get there in time for work. When I get there, I usually realize I've not had breakfast, so I down a few cups of coffee instead.

So here I am talking to meself again.
I am not going to Steveson, all, I mean ALL my birds are moulting & some look downright horrid.
I will go to the Winter Brisk though, that was so much fun!
And Eenie is trying to go too!!!

My broody hen hatched 2 chicks out of 11 eggs, and like I suspected, took off with them & abandoned the nest.
So, I was ready & popped them in the incubator.
This morning!!!
They barely got cold.
I'd say the eggs were about 60 degrees when I discovered she had abandoned them.
Anyway, as of right this minute, one has zipped out no problem, three are pipping...
And the broody hen is doing a great job on the 2 she hatched.

We have gotten the entire floor (3/4" OSB T&G) screwed down (a screw in @ 6 ") and now have the lino for the utility room, new freezer waiting to go on the floor, and have to get floor particle board to go down now.....

OK, I better get Big Mean Daddy (BMD) in to feed him.....he is out in the dark somewhere playing laser light tag with Jack....G'night all!

I am so glad I am not alone. I can so sympathize.
