Ummm. . . We moved from Texas to Washington the summer between 6th and 7th grade. They put me back 3 years in Math, 2/3 in Science, and 2 in Foreign Language. Well, sort of on the Science, I did not take a Science class in 7th and 8th grade.
My family are a bunch of English teachers, We still have conversations over the dinner table about lay, lay, and to have lain. In 6th grade, the school called my mother to tell me to stop correcting my English teacher's grammar. (The only non-advanced class I had) I told my mother that if it were any class other than English, I would keep my mouth shut. She could not really argue with my logic.
I think I was a Senior in High School before I wrote a paper longer than one side of one page, double spaced. My papers may have been crap, but at least I knew my grammar was right.
I did not have a birthday party, other than family. . . *thinks*. . . Since I moved to Washington in 1990, I have never had a birthday party that was not mostly my family. That includes the 8 years I lived in Eastern Washington/North Idaho, 400 miles away from my family.
Hmmmm. . . Since, in the past couple of years, I have gained some social skills, I think I will try to throw a birthday party. Y'all are all invited! Anybody busy on a weekend in the middle of November?
