I'll tell DH that it is wing-walk material -- since he's an aviation nut he will go for that .. will be several strips per step since each step is three 2x4s, spaced slightly apart
am not too sure, though, that it would stick to cedar steps treated every year with a drying-linseed-oil preservative --- will have to try it out and see .. a loose strip could be more hazardous than the alternative
when I slip on the stairs, it's not because they are slippery, but because I am carrying a load big and heavy enough that I cannot see my feet; and I am leaning back too far -- I usually try to remind myself to go down the stairs BACKWARDS when carrying large-and/or-heavy ... yes, the one time I did slip, it was because I stepped on one of DH's discarded, balled up, Kleenexes that I didn't notice since it was after dark and I was hurrying down to see what "that odd noise" was
