took a dozen hardboiled eggs to DS .. court for him again today, again a judge pro-tem who could not authorize electronic monitoring, so back to the work-release house -- he is seriously annoyed at his lawyer who 1) did not show up today 2) did not file the requisite paperwork with the court, and 3) did not communicate that it would be another judge pro tem today, same deal as last month ...

no sense going to court asking for modifications, if the judge who imposed the sentence is not on the bench that day

and for THAT, I got up at quarter to 5 this morning, picked up DS in west Olympia, and drove him to Burien and back ... sat in uncomfortable straight chair in court for two hours waiting; seriously crashed when I got home, slept for three hours after eating leftover pizza

this year I planted butter cup and acorn not very many of the butter cup but I found a lot of acorns yesterday after a ground search like yours. AM rains then 30- 35 MPH winds the rest of the day.

She is one of my favorites

She is really sweet - and she talks to me by "honking" LOL Although I bought eggs I that were supposed to be purebred Ameracauna I was told by someone that would know better than I that she had traits as a chick that point to EE. She was hatched from a really blue egg, as was her sister Blackberry. Both of them should start laying any day, I cannot wait!

Okay to pull the hair from the dogs outer ear canal; DH uses a pair hemostats that have been dipped in corn starch. He then grabs a some hairs in the dogs ear, and then spins the hair twirls with a gentle pull of the hemostats until the hair releases.

You can also dip your fingers in corn starch, and pull hairs.

I doubt that most dogs will like it, but my dogs have put up with it. We also have watch the hair between the toes. It gets matted and can become painful for the dog to walk. When we got Chuck, he hadn't been groomed in more than 5 years. He had to learn that he was safe with us, and as DH groomed him, I watched Chuck fall in love with DH. He deeply appreciated being groomed.

No, Ginger's egg nor Sylvia's pipped; I gave them 48 hours after the last of the other chicks hatched, too.

I need to get that incubator cleaned and packed, but it was another thing which didn't happen today.

Well broody Snowball's eggs were due tomorrow. I fed the birds then went back after a few to lock up and check her and heard "peep peep peep".

She cooperated for me to snap a couple quick pics of the first one.
