I need a little advice and I'm sure this is the right place!
My father asked me to find some hot manure for his garden.
He wants to pick up "not more than a yard" and sooner rather than later.
I looked on Craigslist and there's quite a bit for free.
Advice? Is there something I should look for or, even more importantly, avoid?

We rescued a Libby, too! Ours was abandoned with a box of her siblings in front of a Kmart (we almost named her Blue).

If he wants horse manure, look for as little straw bedding in it as possible. Shavings and pelleted bedding are ok, as they break down quikly. Straw and feed hay doesnt break down as quikly...

Forgot to mention (and WOW baby chickens grow fast; the difference between the Saturday/Sunday bunch and today's is amazing) that at least three of the five old guys are growing teeny little tail feathers today, having started noticible wing feathers yesterday. Is this something that goes into the sex sorting matrix? The one Illia ID'ed as male is lagging noticibly on the feathering already.
