After the last biopsy, they wanted a 6 month follow up...but I could not afford to do it. I just did not have the funds. Now that I am working at the hospital...I was able to go and have it done. And since that first lump (around age 35)...I am suppose to have yearly mammos. I have for the most part. The first lump was found through routine screening...I was not just going around having mammos. They recommend first at 40...but again, screening I found a lump.. Now, since this last mammo was clean...they want me to have yearly.

Sorry if I missed it, my brain has been sputtering lately, but was your positive or benign?

And I apologize, I had to skip almost some 40 pages to get caught up as I was so far behind. I am sorry that things are going hard for you. PM me if you would like to.

Both my biopsies were benign. I was very fortunate. One lump was biopsied and then they decided to remove it - entirely - but that was quite a few years ago. This last one they just biopsied.

LOL, Dierdre is easier to say than phonemes!

Strangely enough, "phonemes" is pronounced phonetically.

OK, Like short for Phone message, phone mes (long o, short e)? or Pho nee mees (long o, long ee's)? or phon emmms (long o, short ee's)?
but I'm sure there is an explanation!I know I am missing a phonetics lesson here.

CGG - It is so good to see you posting on here again. One of these days when you have some time I'm just going to grab a bottle of something and come out to pour you a glass and visit. Maybe I'll have one of our other BYCer's ride along with me!

Ya, thanks! Bring them. I love meeting my BYC buddies. I'll have lots of time this winter. It's my down time. Just been muddling through stuff. Could use some help! Actually November is kind of crazy because I'm not only mowing regularly, I am also picking up fall leaves but it should be under control Dec thru Feb. Was considering going to your last get together but stuff came up. Do you have time during the day weekdays? DH is finally going back to work after shoulder surgery. FINALLY! Will have lots of weekday winter times. Bring a BUNCH of bottles! of whatever.

Illia, Whidbey is pretty easy to get to from the Peninsula - drive to Port Townsend, walk on the ferry to Keystone with a carrier and meet me at the cafe. We'll have coffee, talk chicken and we'll get you back on with a bunch of cockerels.

Sherry and I have been doing this and it's worked out great for us both!

Blacktail, YOU have Muley.

And I still beg to differ, I believe they are the same animal only smaller!! I was talking to a fish and game guy and he basically eluded to the same thing, for some reason because of the Cascades, the deer on the west side are Black tail, and the deer on the east are Mulies?? From what I've read, they are infact the same.

I'm so glad yours were benign!!!
For some reason my surgeon just wanted to to remove this little calcification that she was positive would be benign.
Things turned out different. But I would not say that they are hard.

I'm not looking forward to radiation but I'm not totally convinced I need to take that road yet. The kind I have is slow growing so we have time to think and plan.
Thanks for you story.
