I had just been thinking I was going to need to find out if you were still alive Toni. It's a good thing to know you are.

could the person who knew someone able to transport birds to Tacoma PM me again? Had to clear out my inbox, replied, and so with the reply I deleted the replied to message. Now I can't remember who it was.

Hmm - your marans pullet is about the same age as mine; I may have to get her.

Morning all.
Wow, when it rains it pours. So glad to hear Clovers FIL is doing good and on the mend.

Thanks for all the hugs and prayers for my family.

It means so much to have this BYC family. Not just for prayers but its so awesome for physical help, transporting birds for people and splitting wood, offering places to stay. Helps in healing a heavy heart. We have good people out there! and hope and faith.

Cheryl, be careful and take care of yourself. Try not to work too hard.

Same with you Rustler!

And Illia, so sorry you have to get rid of your beautiful birds. I know how hard that can be. My DH knows he better not tell me to get rid of my birds. He know what I would choose if given a choice! I do, however, have some control over chicken math and I do try to compromise whenever possible.

Broody, wishing you the best! and hope you get your house sold!

And at Chickys request, I am by no means an expert just personal experience. My DH is suffering from a degenerative joint disease from being on so much prednisone. He is no longer on it but the disease does not go away. It detroys the miniscus so the joint is bone on bone. So far he has had total joint replacement in both knees and one shoulder and the other shoulder will need it soon. So far it has not gone to his hips. Prednisone is very bad. Whatever folks can do to be on as minimum a dose as possible or not at all would be a good thing.

Anyone want to see pictures?.........

Okay, ever wonder the size difference in 3 week old orps and 3 week old serama:

And last but not least:
Out feeding treats and Adam was strutting his stuff (I don't think he likes cameras as he always takes the girls and runs off):

All those leaves are from a 40 ft willow tree in my back yard. It is one of the oldest/biggest in the county. The birds love to eat the leaves.

My thoughts exactly on this BYC family. Love how people take care of each other here.
And, for what it's worth, I agree on the prednisone. Take only what you absolutely need. That stuff is life saving and wicked - all rolled into one!

Gorgeous!

I think they turned out pretty well. I got better as I went along, and saw what looked more or less effective.

Fabulous! Maybe you could organize a class - not for free, mind you. Charge for what you've learned!
On another note, if Dottie doesn't quit trying to sleep in the tree above the coop, I may be chaging her name to Zachaeus.

Seramas seem to be like Yorkies in that as far as they are concerned they are Full Sized, thankyouverymuch, and fully able to hold their own in any company.
