You had names for the birds we bought? That's good to know. I have the blue cuckoo Araucana and a Wheaten Ameraucana. What are their names? DD still may wish to rename "her" Araucana when she gets home for Thanksgiving break, but maybe not!

I like the name Godiva - perfect for a dark egg layer too.

When our girls are better situated I'll be sending photos so you can see them in their "natural" habitat. They're not with the rest of the flock yet.

One was named Pe'le the other was Hua'hue. Pe'le is the bigger darker one who isn't missing most of her tail.

The Blue Cuckoo Araucana I sadly never got around to naming. I still have a couple Araucana hens who I honestly have yet to come up with a good name for.

Yay for a little rain. It helps wash the chicken poo off the patio and deck where the girls have decided to make themselves comfortable on sunny days. But now that I've had a little rain it could stop and I wouldn't mind. (Looks hopefully out the window.) Nope, still raining. Heck. I'm making apple crisp today to send with DH to Pullman for Dad's Weekend. I thought after tomorrow night's football game Lily could invite her friends and their Dads over to the apartment for warm apple crisp and ice cream. But I have to go out to the store and get a few supplies. In the rain.

Why not all three? Blue, black and Salmon? I mean CR did just score those new coops and all. Shouldn't be any big thing to have separate pens for them all... How can you pick just one?
