She left tonight knowing that we love her and are here if she gets into a dangerous spot. It's NOT a revolving door but definitely a safe haven in a time of trouble.
Thanks for the well wishes. Y'all are the best!

That's all you can do at this age. I can remember the night our DD called stranded on the side of the freeway. The old boyfriend stop the car and let her out, and the left her there. We called the State Patrol on that episode. DH and DS went and picked her up. It was a good thing the BF wasn't anywhere near. DS would still like to have a go at the guy. I left the door open to communication, and for a long time we talk about neutral subjects. We still have to sometimes do that even now.

Thanks for the insight, JB. I just hope once she sees how this guy really is that she will be able to get away from him. Everyone else can see it but she refuses to.

Cloverleaf,
I finally got a pic of new amer. chick. (from one of the eggs I bought from you at the swap) (not the best pic, being mostly black, it is hard to see.) My hubby named it Glenn Peck..

[How is all the peeps after the nasty storm last night??]
My guys did ok. (In Vancouver, WA) Wet, but nothing blown away. Tarped over their run and "tented" it up (so water wouldn't pool). Coop was all dry inside, so I hope they slept ok. (they were all up before I was)

I have to sadly say that I am kind of losing faith in the Chehalis people. I have contacted them several times asking about vendor space and the only reply I got was a link to the show cat. I need to know what size space I can get etc. but they won't reply. I am starting to wonder if they don't want my junk there or what. I am going to give one more try before I give up on this one.

Only lost power for a few minutes last night... did lose a tree in the backyard, thank god it was a small one! Wind was howling!

ok, we are in final countdown to leave for Whistler via Bellingham

DS will hold down the fort here ... he has been coached on what the chickens need

should have access tonight, then not until late Friday (and we can't use our cells in Canada)

hope everyone does okay ... snow or not
