I don't recall saying how I personally looked at it. I was just trying to help someone who might inadvertently wind up paying a hefty price for what I also consider to be doing a good thing.

Also, I don't know if having a tag makes any difference or not. It should be ok but in this state, it appears that fish and game laws are more often than not written as a revenue gathering resource rather than a means to protect wildlife and promote fishing/hunting. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to have a warden issue a fine for a roadkill deer that was tagged because it was obtained by other than lawful means. Meaning it wasn't shot. Don't know one way or the other but it wouldn't surprise me.

God Bless,

God Bless,

And that is the key point. It depends on the officer. I was at a site where a school bus had just hit an elk. When I asked the trooper about the meat if we found it. He told me if you havea tag tag it and it's yours. I told him I didn't have a tag and it was just out of season. He said well I hate to see the meat go to waste and I am almost done here. but the next one may want to take ya to jail for it.
In fact some people were going to go get the elk that my friends dad died trying to pack out. I was told that WDFWhad issues with that because they didn't have his tag an his permission. Now that is messed up.

Had a plan to put buff and white silkie eggs under my broody hen, but when I went to pick up the eggs, the gal said since she moved the buff roo in with the white hens, none had laid eggs. So I took the white eggs she gave me and put them under her, thinking, oh well, maybe next time:idunno. Now this Saturday those eggs should hatch and I still want Buffs or paints. Anyone in the Puget sound area have any hatching this weekend that I could add to them after these hatch? Kind of a long shot on short notice on a Holiday weekend but, just thought I would check! Maybe someone is coming this direction....:jumpyThanks!
