Also, I don't know if having a tag makes any difference or not. It should be ok but in this state, it appears that fish and game laws are more often than not written as a revenue gathering resource rather than a means to protect wildlife and promote fishing/hunting. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to have a warden issue a fine for a roadkill deer that was tagged because it was obtained by other than lawful means. Meaning it wasn't shot. Don't know one way or the other but it wouldn't surprise me.
