Well, he doesn't like the greenhouse whatsoever- I don't blame him, it's full of bad rodent-ish smells and none of the young people who have supposed to have cleaned it (dating back to about 2002) have actually gotten it what you would call clean. He went running out with no leash on while I was chopping blackberry canes for him, but in conformance with his belief that he is a dog, he came running back to me when called. I got the pen back on its feet and now it's tied in to the clothesline (which is, of course, framed on 4X4s set 20" deep) and has two of my large collection of cheap spading forks set on the other closed corners. I'm going to have to cut a chunk of greenhouse cover and close off the south side: it went over with the tarp blown north of the livestock panels and the SE and NW corners open and adjacent. On the other hand, the morning's activity used up about 85% of my day's strength so I'm wondering how the heck I'm going to get anything at all done, starting with feeding the chickies, who are noisily demanding my attention.

I need to finish breakfast.

Oh, and on the list of things I wish my parents had not been correct about: of all the plants to choose from, he decided to eat all the new growth off the hardy gardenia, thus fulfilling "sheep and goats will always eat the one thing you most want them not to" proverb

I tried to watch the steaming wedding video but it was pretty hardfor me to see or hear. I did sign the guest book! I think.

CL Yes I will help you however I can when ya get to the show. I will also have a folding table or two.

FYI I got a text from T HI early this am. Seems the wind took down her duck pen which allowed her feed to get wet too. Sadly she said she won't even be home from work to fix it until 8:30 tonight. And to top it off the girl has no work light or even a flashlight!!! Sure wish I could afford the drive I would go fix it for her. But I guess since I don't even know where she lives that would not be so easy.

bathing 2 WHITE turkeys and a white rock pullet (the dirtiest) will be enough for me.
DH is being very good so far, but he can turn on me & get rather put out.
He is getting better though, day by day.
The first few days after my fall, I could do little to nothing.
And DH was a booger to deal with!
See, he is used to being spoiled.
He also had NO IDEA how much work I do & how little I get to even sit & go potty before jumping up to go do something else, coop out, fill feeders & waterers, clean poop trays, shower, laundry, make the bed & coffee, start breakfast, dishes, then lunch and did ya take anything out of the freezer for dinner???
after a few days he was getting really discontent to say the least.
All but went on strike.
I looked at him and replied "It's f****D being a woman, isn't it?
You do not get to sit & relax all day until you hit the sack at night"
He was OK after that..for a while.
He was almost that mean yesterday when we went shopping.
I got out of the van & went to get my wheelchair out & he wanted me to ride the icky scooter at walmart I did not care for...ewwwwwww/.
So I continued to get my wheelchair & he was upset that he would have to get it out for me and that it would be easier if I rode the scooter.
I did not relent, but was in my wheelchair when he returned with the icky scooter.
Nope, I am fine.
Lately I am thinking he is a bit upset that I am getting better.
It equals=
I hit the dirt/ out of commision.
Suddenly he had full control & responsibilities
He hated it,
He got used to it,
he started liking it & ordering me around,
he started hating me gaining back control.
Now he is OK again.
Weird, huh?

Jeez! just a little appreciation and help would be in order!! Some peeps just don't know how good they have it!!! You go girl!!!
